Very sadly, the Divine Liturgy in English at 9-30 am on Sundays at the Holy Family Cathedral, Lower Church, have had to be put on hold. Until the practicalities we cannot use the Lower Church space. Hopefully this will be resolved very soon. Please keep checking in here for details.

Owing to public health guidance, masks should still be worn indoors and distance maintained. Sanitisers are available. Holy Communion is distributed in both kinds from the mixed and common chalice, by means of a separate Communion spoon for each individual communicant.

KurdishGlobe- President Barzani Meets with the Chaldean Catholic Patriarch of Babylon

President Masoud Barzani received Mr. Louis Raphael Sako, the Chaldean Catholic Patriarch of Babylon today at his office in Salahadin. The meeting was attended by a number of Chaldean clergymen who collectively expressed their thanks to the President of the Kurdistan Region for his role in providing a refuge for the Christian communities fleeing the violence of the rest of Iraq. Mr. Sako also stated that the message of gratitude from Iraq's Christian communities to President Barzani has been conveyed to the Holiness of Pope Francis in the Vatican.

President Barzani warmly welcomed the delegation and reiterated the stance of the Kurdistan Region that coexistence is part of the history of this Region. President Barzani also stated that discrimination of any sort in the Kurdistan Region will never be accepted.
